Menu File
Save tag
Ctrl+SSaves the tag entered in the Tag Panel to the selected files. If you have selected < keep >
at one of the fields on the Tag Panel, the value in the tag will not be changed.
Remove tag
Ctrl+RRemoves the tags specified at Options → Tags from the selected files.
Read tag
Ctrl+TReads the tag from the selected files.
Playlist (all files)
Ctrl+PCreates a playlist of all files listed in the File List. The file name of the playlist can be a format string and is defined at Options → Playlist.
Playlist (selected files)
Creates a playlist of all selected files. The file name of the playlist can be a format string and is defined at Options → Playlist.
Generate Playlists…
Ctrl+Shift+POpens the Playlist Generator, which allows for batch-creating multiple playlists at once.
Export
Ctrl+EExports file and tag information of the selected files to an export file based on the settings at Options → Export.
If you press Shift when running this command, Mp3tag creates an export file for each different directory.
Change directory…
Ctrl+DShows an open dialog to change the current working directory of Mp3tag and loads the supported files from the selected folder. If you select the Subfolders option in this dialog, Mp3tag will also load all supported files from the subfolders of the selected folder.
Add directory…
Ctrl+HShows an open dialog to add a directory to the File List of Mp3tag. If you select the Subfolders option in this dialog, Mp3tag will also load all supported files from the subfolders of the selected folder.
Load Playlist/Cuesheet…
Loads the files referenced in the selected playlist or cuesheet to the File List.
Favorite directory
Ctrl+MChanges the current working directory to the favorite directory specified at Options → Directories.
Open in Explorer
Opens the selected files in Windows File Explorer. If no files are selected, this function opens the current working directory.
Options…
Ctrl+OShows the options dialog which provides the various configuration options available in Mp3tag.
Save configuration…
Saves all settings and configuration files to a single zip file for backup purposes.
Open configuration folder
Opens the folder where Mp3tag stores all its settings and configuration files.
Exit
Alt+F4Closes Mp3tag
