After the discontinuation of freedb, these configuration options are simply preserved to allow for switching to alternative servers. Currently, gnudb is used.

freedb Server

Name

The name of the freedb configuration, e.g., GnuDB Server.

You can retrieve the current list of freedb servers, by pressing the Current list of freedb servers button. This resets all changes made to the freedb server configuration list.

Address

Domain name of the freedb server, e.g., gnudb.gnudb.org.

Path

URL to the freedb server program, e.g., /~cddb/cddb.cgi.

Port

Port of the freedb server.

Email address

Your email address for logging onto the freedb server. Your email address is only used for handshaking with the freedb server.

Copy disc ID to comment field

If enabled, the freedb disc ID is saved to the COMMENT field on importing from freedb.

Copy disc ID to DISCID field

If enabled, the freedb disc ID is saved to the DISCID field on importing from freedb.
